Man
Adam was a direct creation of God; he was the son of God and the only human who bore that title.
- The rest of mankind are sons of Adam (Deuteronomy 32:8).
- Adam was tempted in the Garden of Eden, and he sinned (Genesis 3 & Luke 3:38).
- The actions of Adam caused sin to enter into the world, and death by sin.
- Death passed upon all men, for all have sinned (Romans 5:12).
- We are all born with a sin nature. We are tempted to sin by the devil, the world, and our flesh (Ephesians 2:1-3).
- All of mankind who have reached the age of moral responsibility are sinners and are in need of salvation.
- God made man in His image, distinct from all other forms of life on Earth. Man is unique in that he has a soul.
- Man was given dominion over all the animals on earth (Genesis 1:26-28).
